മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിലെ യുവതലമുറയിലെ ഏറ്റവും ജനപ്രിയരായ നോവലിസ്റ്റുകളിൽ ഒരാളാണ് അഖിൽ പി. ധർമ്മജൻ. 1993-ൽ ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിലെ പാതിരപ്പള്ളിയിൽ ജനിച്ചു. പിതാവ് കെ.വി. ധർമ്മജൻ, അമ്മ മഹേശ്വരി ധർമ്മജൻ. മെക്കാനിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ്, ഫിലിം മേക്കിങ് എന്നിവയിൽ ഡിപ്ലോമ നേടിയ അഖിൽ ഓട്ടോമൊബൈൽ മെക്കാനിക്കായി ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. 2011-ൽ ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് പേജിലൂടെ അധ്യായങ്ങളായി കഥകൾ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച് തുടങ്ങി. പിന്നീട് നോവലുകളിലൂടെ വലിയ ശ്രദ്ധ നേടി. മലയാള സിനിമയിലും സജീവമാണ്; '2018' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ തിരക്കഥകൃത്ത് കൂടിയാണ് അഖിൽ. റാം C/O ആനന്ദി, ഓജോ ബോർഡ്, മെർക്കുറി ഐലൻഡ് - ലോകാവസാനം, രാത്രി പന്ത്രണ്ടിന് ശേഷം തുടങ്ങിയവ പ്രധാന കൃതികൾ. കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി യുവ പുരസ്കാരം (2025, റാം C/O ആനന്ദിക്ക്) ലഭിച്ചു.
Akhil P. Dharmarajan is one of the most popular novelists of the younger generation in Malayalam literature. Born in 1993 in Pathirappally, Alappuzha district, he began his writing career by publishing serialized stories on Facebook in 2011, which later led to wide recognition through his novels. Trained in mechanical engineering and filmmaking, he has also worked as an automobile mechanic and is active in Malayalam cinema, notably as a scriptwriter of the film 2018. His major works include Ram C/O Anandhi, Ojo Board, Mercury Island – Lokavasanam, and Rathri Panthrandi Kazhinju, and he received the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in 2025 for Ram C/O Anandhi.
