യുവ ഗായികയും സംഗീത സംവിധായകയും ഗാനരചയിതാവുമാണ് ഗൗരി ലക്ഷ്മി. ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിൽ ജനിച്ചു വളർന്ന ഗൗരി തൃപ്പുണിത്തുറ ആർഎൽവി കോളേജിൽ നിന്നും സംഗീതത്തിൽ ബിരുദവും കേരള യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ നിന്നും ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദവും നേടി. പതിമൂന്നാമത്തെ വയസിൽ മോഹൻലാൽ നായകനായ 'കാസനോവ'യിലെ ഗാനമൊരുക്കിയാണ് സിനിമയിൽ അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചത്. ലൈവ് മ്യൂസിക്കൽ പരിപാടികളിലൂടെയും കവർ ഗാനങ്ങളിലൂടെയും സംഗീതത്തിൽ തന്റേതായ സ്ഥാനം ഉറപ്പിച്ച വ്യക്തി കൂടിയാണ് ഗൗരി.
Gowry Lekshmi is a prominent young singer, music composer, and lyricist in the Malayalam music industry. Born and brought up in Alappuzha district, she earned her bachelor’s degree in music from RLV College, Tripunithura, and her post graduate degree from the University of Kerala. She made her debut in cinema at the age of thirteen by composing a song for Casanova, a film starring Mohanlal. Through live musical performances and cover songs, Gowry has also established her own distinct place in the world of music.
