മലയാളത്തിലെ പ്രമുഖ നോവലിസ്റ്റും, മനുഷ്യാവകാശ പ്രവർത്തകയും, കോളമിസ്റ്റുമാണ് ഹരിത സാവിത്രി. കേരള യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ നിന്ന് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സാഹിത്യത്തിലും, ഭാഷാശാസ്ത്രത്തിലും യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് ബാഴ്സലോണയിൽ നിന്ന് കൺസ്ട്രക്ഷൻ ആൻഡ് റെപ്രസെൻ്റെഷൻ ഓഫ് കൾച്ചറൽ ഐഡന്റിയിലും ഹരിത ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദം നേടി. ക്രീയേറ്റീവ് റൈറ്റിങ്ങിൽ ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കാനായി യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് ബാഴ്സലോണയിൽ ചെയ്തിരുന്ന ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഫിലോസഫിയിൽ ഗവേഷണം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു.
മുറിവേറ്റവരുടെ പാതകൾ എന്ന യാത്രാവിവരണകൃതിക്ക് 2022-ലെ കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി പുരസ്കാരവും, 'സിൻ' എന്ന നോവലിനു 2023-ലെ മികച്ച നോവലിനുള്ള കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി പുരസ്കാരവും, 2023ലെ ഉദയ സാഹിത്യ പുരസ്കാരവും, 2024ലെ കടമ്മനിട്ട പുരസ്കാരവും, ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. തൃശൂരിൽ ആണ് താമസം.
Haritha Savithri is a prominent Malayalam novelist, human rights activist. She holds postgraduate degrees in English Literature and Linguistics from Kerala University, and a master’s degree in construction and Representation of Cultural Identity from the University of Barcelona. Haritha discontinued her research in English Philosophy at the University of Barcelona to focus on Creative Writing. Her travelogue Murivettavarkulla Paathakal won the 2022 Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, while her novel Sin received the 2023 Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Best Novel, the 2023 Udaya Literary Award, and the 2024 Kadammanitta Award. She resides in Thrissur.
