നക്സൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിലൂടെ കേരളീയ പൊതുമണ്ഡലത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധേയയായ വിപ്ലവകാരിയും പ്രമുഖ മനുഷ്യാവകാശ-സ്ത്രീപക്ഷ പ്രവർത്തകയുമാണ് കെ. അജിത. 1950ൽ കോഴിക്കോടാണ് ജനനം. 1960 കളുടെ അവസാനത്തിൽ നക്സൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ആകൃഷ്ടയാകുകയും, വിപ്ലവ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ സജ്ജീവ പങ്കാളിയാകുകയും ചെയ്തു. 1993 ൽ അജിത സ്ഥാപിച്ച സർക്കാരിതര സംഘടനയായ 'അന്വേഷി' ഇന്നും സ്ത്രീകളുടെ അവകാശങ്ങൾക്കും, ദേശീയ വനിതാ ശാക്തീകരണ ദൗത്യത്തിനുമായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു വരുന്നു. ‘ഓർമ്മക്കുറിപ്പുകൾ’, ‘ഓർമ്മയിലെ തീനാളങ്ങൾ’ എന്നിവയാണ് പ്രധാന കൃതികൾ. ജനസംസ്കൃതി അവാർഡ്, സഹൃദയ വേദി നൽകുന്ന ലക്ഷ്മി അവാർഡ്, യുഗദീപം സാം അവാർഡ് എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടെ നിരവധി അംഗീകാരങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
K. Ajitha is a prominent revolutionary turned human rights and feminist activist who first gained attention through the Naxalite movement in Kerala. Born in 1950 in Kozhikode, she was actively involved in the movement during the late 1960s. In 1993, she founded the NGO Anweshi, which continues to work for women’s rights and gender justice. Her notable works include Ormakkurippukal and Ormayile Theenalangal. She has received several honours, including the Janam Samskruthi Award, the Sahardaya Lakshmi Award, and the Yugadeepam Sam Award.
