ഗായകൻ, സംഗീത സംവിധായകൻ എന്നീ നിലകളിൽ, മലയാളത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധേയനായ കലാകാരനാണ് എം ജയചന്ദ്രൻ. 1971 ജൂൺ 14 ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്താണ് അദ്ദേഹം ജനിച്ചത്. 1992 ൽ 'വസുധ' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിൽ പിന്നണി ഗായകനായി ജയചന്ദ്രൻ ചലച്ചിത്ര രംഗത്തേക്ക് കടന്നു. 1995 ൽ 'ചന്ത' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ സ്വതന്ത്ര സംഗീത സംവിധായകനായി. മികച്ച സംഗീത സംവിധായകനുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരത്തിന് ഒമ്പത് തവണ അദ്ദേഹം അർഹനായിട്ടുണ്ട്. 2015 ൽ, മികച്ച സംഗീത സംവിധായകനുള്ള ദേശീയ ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരവും ജയചന്ദ്രൻ നേടി. ഇതുവരെ 130 ഓളം സിനിമകളിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.
M. Jayachandran is a prominent Malayalam singer and music composer born on 14 June 1971 in Thiruvananthapuram. He entered the film industry in 1992 as a playback singer through the film 'Vasudha' and became an independent music director with 'Chanda' in 1995. Widely regarded for his melodic style, Jayachandran has won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director nine times and also earned the National Film Award for Best Music Direction in 2015.
