മലയാളത്തിലെ പ്രമുഖ ചലച്ചിത്രനടനും, എഴുത്തുകാരനും, സംവിധായകനുമാണ് മധുപാൽ. 1963-ൽ കോഴിക്കോടാണ് ജനനം. ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ തന്നെ ബാല പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി എഴുതിയിരുന്നു. 1994-ൽ 'കാശ്മീരം' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ അഭിനയരംഗത്ത് അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ഒട്ടനവധി സിനിമകളിലെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ വേഷങ്ങളിലൂടെ മലയാളികൾക്ക് പ്രിയങ്കരനായി. തലപ്പാവ്, ഒഴിമുറി , ക്രോസ്സ് റോഡ്, ഒരു കുപ്രസിദ്ധ പയ്യൻ എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തു. തലപ്പാവിന്റെ സംവിധാന മികവിന് ആ വർഷത്തെ മികച്ച ആദ്യ സംവിധായകനുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരവും, ഒഴിമുറി എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് 2012ലെ കേരള സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരിന്റെ മികച്ച രണ്ടാമത്തെ ചിത്രത്തിനുള്ള പുരസ്കാരവും, ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രകടനത്തിന് നടൻ ലാലിന് ദേശീയ തലത്തിൽ മികച്ച നടനുള്ള സ്പെഷ്യൽ ജൂറി പുരസ്കാരവും ലഭിച്ചു. മായ സഞ്ചാരം, എന്റെ പെൺനോട്ടങ്ങൾ, മധുപാലിന്റെ കഥകൾ, വാക്കുകൾ കേൾക്കാൻ ഒരു കാലം വരും, ഈ ജീവിതം ജീവിച്ചു തീർക്കുന്നത്, ഇരുകരകൾക്കിടയിൽ ഒരു ബുദ്ധൻ, തുടങ്ങിയവയാണ് പ്രധാന കൃതികൾ.
Madhu Pal is a prominent Malayalam film actor, writer, and director, born in 1963 in Kozhikode. He began writing at a young age for children’s publications and entered cinema as an actor in 1994 with the film Kashmeeram. Over the years, he has become a familiar face through numerous notable roles. As a filmmaker, he has directed Thalappavu, Ozhimuri, Cross Road, and Oru Kuprasiddha Payyan. Thalappavu earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Debut Director, while Ozhimuri won the 2012 Kerala State Award for Second Best Film, and actor Lal received the National Special Jury Award for his performance in the film. His major literary works include Maya Sancharam, Ente Pennottangal, Madhupalinte Kathakal, Vaakkukal Kelkkaan Oru Kaalam Varum, Ee Jeevitham Jeevichu Theerkunnathu, and Irukarakalkkidayil Oru Buddhan.
