മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിലെ ശ്രദ്ധേയനായ എഴുത്തുകാരനാണ് വി. ജെ. ജെയിംസ്. 1961ൽ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിയിലാണ് ജനനം. 1984ൽ മെക്കാനിക്കൽ എൻജിനീയറിങ്ങിൽ ബിരുദം സ്വന്തമാക്കിയ അദ്ദേഹം, വിക്രം സാരാഭായ് സ്പേസ് സെന്ററിൽ സേവനം അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നിരീശ്വരൻ, ആൻ്റിക്ലോക്ക്, ദത്താപഹാരം, ലെയ്ക, തുടങ്ങി ഏഴ് നോവലുകളും ഏഴ് ചെറുകഥാസമാഹാരങ്ങളും, അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ ആറോളം പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി പുരസ്കാരം, വയലാർ പുരസ്കാരം, ബഷീർ പുരസ്കാരം, തിക്കുറിശ്ശി പുരസ്കാരം, ഒ.വി.വിജയൻ പുരസ്കാരം, വയലാർ അവാർഡ്, ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള പ്രമുഖ സാഹിത്യ പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തേടിയെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

V. Vijayan Award.
