മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിലെ ശ്രദ്ധേയനായ യുവ എഴുത്തുകാരനും, ചെറുകഥാകൃത്തും, നോവലിസ്റ്റുമാണ് വിനോയ് തോമസ്. കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ ഇരിട്ടി സ്വദേശിയായ അദ്ദേഹം സ്കൂൾ അധ്യാപകനാണ്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ കഥ 'മൂർഖൻപറമ്പ്' ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധ നേടി. കരിക്കോട്ടക്കരി, പുറ്റ്, രാമച്ചി, ആകാശവിസ്മയം, തുടങ്ങിയവയാണ് പ്രധാന കൃതികൾ. നിരൂപക പ്രശംസ നേടിയ 'ചുരുളി' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ കഥാകൃത്തും തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തുമാണ് വിനോയ് തോമസ്. കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ്, ജോസഫ് മുണ്ടശ്ശേരി അവാർഡ്, വി.പി. ശിവകുമാർ സ്മാരക കേളി അവാർഡ്, കുഞ്ഞാമു പുറക്കാട് സ്മാരക അവാർഡ്, തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
Vinoy Thomas is a notable young Malayalam writer, short story author, and novelist from Iritty in Kannur. A school teacher by profession, he first gained attention with his debut story 'Moorkhanparambu'. His major works include Karikkottakari, Putt, Ramachi, and Aakasha Vismayam. He also wrote the story and screenplay for the critically acclaimed film 'Churuli'. Vinoy Thomas has received several honours, including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, Joseph Mundassery Award, V.P. Shivakumar Memorial Keli Award, and Kunjammu Purakkad Memorial Award.
