Dr. A. K. Abdul Hakeem is a prominent writer, social activist, and former State Information Commissioner. He is actively engaged in the fields of education and public service. He has published 10 books so far on subjects related to literature and education. Some of his noteworthy works include Puthiya Teacherum Puthiya Kuttiyum, Silayil Theertha Smarakangal, African Yathrakalude Samskarika Doorangal among others. He has been honoured with many awards including Kakkanadan Award, V T Kumaran Award and Joseph Mundassery Award to name a few.
