മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിലെ പുതിയകാല എഴുത്തുകാരിൽ ശ്രദ്ധേയനാണ് ഫ്രാൻസിസ് നൊറോണ. കഥാകൃത്ത്, നോവലിസ്റ്റ്, ആത്മകഥാകൃത്ത് എന്നീ നിലകളിൽ ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ ഭാവതീവ്രമായ ആവിഷ്കാരങ്ങളിലൂടെ അദ്ദേഹം വേറിട്ടു നിൽക്കുന്നു. 1972-ൽ ആലപ്പുഴയിൽ ജനിച്ചു. ആലപ്പുഴ സനാതനധർമ്മ വിദ്യാലയം, എൻ.എസ്.എസ്. കോളേജ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം.
കുടുംബ കോടതിയിൽ സീനിയർ ക്ലാർക്കായിരുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം 2023-ൽ എഴുത്തിനായി വിരമിച്ചു. തൊട്ടപ്പൻ, കക്കുകളി, അശരണരുടെ സുവിശേഷം, മുണ്ടൻപറുങ്കി, മഞ്ഞപ്പുസ്തകം, അവളകം, മുടിയറകൾ , മാസ്റ്റർപീസ് തുടങ്ങിയവയാണ് പ്രധാന കൃതികൾ. ചെമ്പിൽ ജോൺ അവാർഡും, മറ്റു സാഹിത്യ അംഗീകാരങ്ങളും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
Francis Noronha is a notable contemporary voice in Malayalam literature, distinguished as a storyteller, novelist, and memoirist whose works vividly portray the emotional depths of life; born in 1972 in Alappuzha, he studied at Sanatanadharma Vidyalayam and NSS College, later serving as a senior clerk in the family court before retiring in 2023 to focus entirely on writing; his major works include Thottappan, Kakkukali, Asharanarude Suvishesham, Mundanparungi, Manjappusthakam, Avalakam, Mudiyarakal, and Masterpiece, earning him honours such as the Chempil John Award along with other literary recognitions.
