മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിലെ ശ്രദ്ധേയനായ എഴുത്തുകാരനാണ് പി. കെ. പാറക്കടവ്. 1952ൽ വടകരയിലാണ് ജനനം. ‘ഇടിമിന്നലുകളുടെ പ്രണയം’, ‘മീശൻ കല്ലുകളുടെ കാവൽ’, ‘കടലിന്റെ ദാഹം’, ‘അമ്പലം പള്ളി സ്ത്രീ’ എന്നിവ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ രചനകളാണ്. എസ്.കെ.പൊറ്റെക്കാട്ട് അവാർഡ്, ശ്രീരാമൻ അവാർഡ്, സമഗ്ര സംഭാവനകൾക്കുള്ള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ്, കേരള ഭാഷാ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിന്റെ ബഷീർ മെമ്മോറിയൽ അവാർഡ് എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടെ നിരവധി പ്രമുഖ ബഹുമതികൾക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം അർഹനായിട്ടുണ്ട്.
