നബിദിന റാലിയില് പണ്ട് മുതല് സ്ത്രീകളെ പങ്കെടുപ്പിക്കാറില്ല. എന്നാല് സമൂഹത്തില് നടക്കുന്ന ചര്ച്ചകളുടെ ഫലമായിരിക്കണം ഇത്തവണ ചെറിയ മാറ്റം ഉണ്ടായത്. ഓണാഘോഷത്തിലെ മുസ്ലീം പെണ്കുട്ടികളുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം സംബന്ധിച്ചും ചര്ച്ചകള് നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്നാല് ഇസ്ലാമിക ആഘോഷങ്ങളില് എന്നാണ് കാന്തപുരം എപി അബൂബക്കര് മുസ്ലിയാര് പറഞ്ഞത്. അവിടെ സ്ത്രീകളെ പ്രദര്ശിപ്പിക്കരുത് എന്നാണ് പറഞ്ഞത്.
