Aishwarya Kamala

Currently residing in Cambridge, United Kingdom, where, as a professional and a student, Aishwarya balances academic pursuits in philosophy with a part-time role in the Department of Interventional Radiology, Cambridge University Hospital. Debut novel “Virus” got shortlisted in the DC Golden Jubilee novel competition and was published in 2024. Wrote short stories, memoirs, and articles in mainstream magazines like Mathrubhumi, Samakalika Malayalam, Madhyamam, Deshabhimani etc. and also in newspapers, and online portals. Published articles and English poems in Watford Daily, Morning Star, and Litart magazine. The poem “Room After Me“ received the “Your Word Resonates Award, 2024” in tribute to Guy De Maupassant by Literat Magazine. Received the “Madhavikutty Kamala Surayya Award of 2024,” given in tribute to Kamala Surayya by Kerala Kala Kendram. Received “kairali UK Exemplary award for literature 2025 “. Received “Padmarajan Yuva Puraskar 2025 “for debut novel - Virus.
